Three Score and Ten and friends

THREE SCORE AND TEN are Jim Potter, Ivan Robinson and Brian Senior. Rumours that the name reflects the average age of the group may or not be near the truth but the fact remains that the three members of Three Score and Ten have been around the folk scene for a long time.
As a founder member of both The Upper Wharfedale Sludge Pump Menders Folk Group and the Holbeck Moor Mummers Ivan Robinson has been appearing in folk clubs since 1964.His work for the Jig Doll Preservation Society is also well documented. Jim Potters apprenticeship was with the legendary Cropper Lads who toured the folk clubs in the 60s and 70s. He also fronted the original Radio Leeds weekly folk program.
Multi-instrumentalist Brian Senior founded the Grove Folk Club in 1962 and for many years sang with Keith Marsden as New Heritage. They have served their apprenticeship!
Three Score and Tens material encompasses every facet of folk music. Shepherds, ploughboys, maidens, heroes and villains.
Fox hunting, fishing, mining, weaving, hymns passed on from generation to generation, the list is endless.
Whether sung unaccompanied or with the support of melodeon, concertina, dulcimer, guitar, harmonica, bodhran or even the modem electronic version of the auto harp, the Omnichord, this is as authentic as it comes.
