Phil Driscoll made a sound recording of a Singers Night a few weeks ago.

He recorded the full evening of singing with about 20 singers taking part.

But he compiled a small selection which lasts a couple of minutes or so!

This will be the first of many, we hope, and let us know what you think.

Phill Hopkins made a video recording of Geoff Wood relating one of his famous tales a couple of weeks ago.

We intend supplying Phill with rather a better camera in future, and with a stand to keep the ship steady!

Soon there will appear a video of the Holbeck Moor Mummers play performed last December 2007.

Annie Dearman, Martin Clarke & Steve Harrison - April 25th 2008

What a great idea suggesting that these friends do a night together!

The evening ranged from Vernon Dalhart to the Everley Brothers back to traditional English from both Annie and Martin, tunes from Sam Fawcett to Flaco Jiminez’s dad, and all carried off with irrepressible humour.

Please persuade them to do it again if only for a repeat of the grand finale ‘Goodnight, Irene, Goodnight’!

“Excellent Singers Nights” - April 4th 2008

Just want to say how much I enjoyed yet another excellent Singers Night, I've gone home many times thinking to myself “that was the best”, but every Singers Night seems to be special these days. Some wonderful singing and songs ... I look forward to the next one - regards - Jimmy
